There's no wrong way to decorate Gold Pumpkins for the Cure so long as you include color GOLD to celebrate the resiliency of pediatric cancer warriors. Here are some ideas and tips to inspire you:
Simply paint any pumpkin gold (shhh...faux pumpkins work too!)
Another twist on your solid gold pumpkin is called the Gratitude Pumpkin. Gather with your loved ones and use a sharpie to write words that describe what you are thankful for on dry gold paint. Stickers or kids handprints can be added too!
To achieve glitter polka dots, or other pattern, trace a design on your pumpkin and then follow with gold glitter glue.
For glitter designs with straight edges:
Use metallic gold permanent markers or gold paint pens to draw a design on your pumpkin.
Tips:
Pumpkin painting is great for all ages and simple enough for even the youngest of kids.
Tips:
This method requires a little bit of prep work. Have an adult pre-spray the pumpkins with gold spray paint, then let the kids decorate them using tempera paint sticks and stickers.
